Due to the high volume of cargo we ship to Australia on a weekly basis, we are able to offer good door to door rates on shipments of all sizes. Groupage or consolidated shipping saves on unnecessary Terminal Handling and Port charges in Australia. You also share the freight costs with our other clients. Below is an outline on Shared vs. Individual shipping:

Example: You have a 3 Cubic metre shipment (24 of our standard moving boxes)

Option 1: LCL (Less than Container Load) Shipment

We pack your goods at residence, bring it to our warehouse, put it in a wooden crate, and then send it to the port, where it is consolidated into containers with cargo bound for the same destination. The cargo sails to Australia, and is de-consolidated at the port. We pick it up from the port, bring it back to our warehouse for quarantine. Once Quarantine is over, we deliver to your home.

Option 2: Groupage Shipment

We pack your goods at residence, bring it to our warehouse where we book our own containers and co-load cargo bound for the same destination. The cargo sails to Australia, and we clear the entire container back to our warehouse for de-consolidation and quarantine. Once Quarantine is over, we deliver it to your home.

The Savings that you Enjoy

• The cost of the wooden crate if we were to ship via LCL (you also get a better deal on the volume as the crate takes up space in the container) - Approx $80

• The Unnecessary trip to send your cargo to the port - Approx $50 for 3 Cubic metres as opposed to $9, this is because you share the cost of transporting the entire container with our other clients

• Deconsolidation at the port / Terminal Handling Charges - This is where the savings are the biggest. Terminal handling on LCL cargo is approximately A$140.00 per cubic metre. Whereas Terminal handling for an entire 40ft container (Capacity - 55 Cubic Metres) is only A$680.00. This brings the per cubic metre rate down to approximately A$13.00 per cubic metre!

• The Unnecessary trip to collect your cargo from the port - Approx A$120 for 3 Cubic metres as opposed to $35, this is because you share the cost of transporting the entire container with our other clients
